About the Role

Our client is offering a foundational opportunity for individuals interested in masonry as an Apprentice Bricklayer in Vereeniging . This program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the trade. You will learn to lay bricks, blocks, and other building components under the guidance of experienced bricklayers, contributing to residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects.

We are seeking candidates with a strong work ethic, a commitment to learning, and an appreciation for quality craftsmanship in the construction industry.

• Assist experienced bricklayers in preparing mortar and mixing concrete.
• Learn to lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry units following specific patterns and plans.
• Ensure courses are level, plumb, and true using measuring tools and levels.
• Cut bricks and blocks as required using appropriate tools.
• Clean excess mortar from surfaces and maintain a tidy worksite.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations on construction sites.

• A genuine interest in learning the bricklaying trade.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials.
• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Grade 12 education or equivalent is advantageous.
