Telecoms Installation Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and capable Telecoms Installation Specialist to join their operations team in Vereeniging . This role focuses on the physical installation and setup of telecommunications equipment at various customer locations, including residential and business premises. You will be responsible for ensuring that all installations are performed correctly, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and enjoys practical work, playing a vital role in delivering reliable connectivity solutions to their clientele across the region.

• Install, terminate, and test various types of telecommunications cabling, including fiber optic and copper.
• Mount and connect telecommunications hardware such as routers, switches, modems, and access points.
• Perform system checks and configurations to ensure seamless integration of new installations.
• Adhere strictly to installation standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Provide basic user guidance to clients upon completion of installations.

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electronics or telecommunications is a plus.
• Demonstrable experience in telecom installation or a related field.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Physical fitness and willingness to work at heights or in confined spaces when necessary.
