Site Supervisor

My client is Africa's market leader in the rental, sales, servicing and training of work-at-height and material handling solutions with the largest and most diverse fleet of Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts, Mini Cranes, Personnel Lifts, High Capacity Telehandlers, Rotational Telehandlers and Telehandlers on the continent.

Oversee service delivery on client site

• Clock onto site
• Inspect PPE, safety file for each operator
• Plan Logistics of machines to departments.
• Ensure all safety rules are followed
• Collect all works orders & Assessments for the next day.
• Visit planner and supervisors daily according to call cycle.
• Visit plant and do assessments as required.
• Update fleet board, utilization and savings model.
• Prepare and submit quotations and follow up with client.
• Supervise operators to ensure work is carried out in the correct way and by company standards.
• Perform a site inspection and assess each job from planning meeting and recommend correct machine for use.
• Verify and update safety file.
• Train customers on machines as needed.
• Ensure machines on site are kept clean and in operating condition
• Ensure invoices and client documentation are submitted on time.
• Ensure that Monthly PDI and services on machines are conducted.
• Complete monthly safety inspections (fire extinguisher, first aid)
• Follow up on payment (invoices and damages)
• Ensure client foreman sign job cards/Delivery notes.
• Attend daily maintenance and planning meetings
• Attend customer daily toolbox talks (random check) to see right topics are discussed, relevant risks are identified and operators sign off toolbox talks
• Perform safety toolbox talks as required.
• Attend cost saving review meeting with customers and management.
• Attend client safety meeting as required.
• Attend client/plant planning and service delivery meeting
• Weekly meetings with company to discuss utilization, savings, challenges and opportunities
• Complete monthly savings and activity report i.e. timesheets, utilization etc.,
• Monthly presentations and reporting to client on savings, utilisation and challenges

Ensure that a professional image is always projected, i.e. grooming and company vehicle

Ensure that the quality of service that Company provides and the satisfaction of its customers, are treated with the utmost importance always.

• Promote Company and do everything possible to enhance its image
• Ensure that all duties are carried out safely and in accordance with all company and legal requirements
• Work in harmony with other employees in the Company
• Ensure that confidentiality in all Company matter is maintained
• Produce other information as required and to carry out other duties either directly or indirectly as requested by your manager from time to time

Matric/N3

• 2 years Supervisory experience in a technical environment or
• 3 years' experience on technical machine equipment operation
• Knowledge of work of height machinery and equipment
• Industry specific knowledge i.e. mining, construction, light & heavy industrial
• Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, Word.
