About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and skilled Telecom Installation Technician to join their growing team based in Benoni . This role is essential for the successful deployment and setup of telecommunications equipment for various business clients. You will be responsible for ensuring that installations are completed efficiently, accurately, and to the highest standards, providing a critical first impression of our client's services.

This is a hands-on position for an individual who enjoys practical work and takes pride in delivering professional, high-quality installations.

• Install and configure telecommunications hardware, including phone systems, routers, modems, and cabling.
• Perform system testing and quality assurance checks post-installation to ensure full functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any installation-related issues encountered on-site.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and installation manuals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both at the client site and in the company vehicle.
• Provide basic client training on the use of newly installed equipment.

• Previous experience as an Installation Technician , preferably in the telecommunications or IT field.
• Familiarity with network cabling standards and termination techniques (e.g., Ethernet, fiber optic).
• Basic understanding of network hardware such as routers, switches, and access points.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet installation schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
