We are searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician (Bela
- Bela) - 6 Months Contract at our Polokwane facility.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and replacement of metering equipment, while providing technical support to customers on meter-related queries. The role ensures accurate meter functionality, reliable data communication, and high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Install, replace, and maintain electricity/water meters.
• Replace and configure SIM cards in metering devices to ensure proper communication.
• Diagnose and resolve meter faults and communication issues.
• Conduct site visits for inspections, repairs, and maintenance.
• Respond to customer queries regarding meter performance, readings, and functionality.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
• Record all maintenance activities, replacements, and customer interactions accurately.
• Assist with meter readings and verification when required.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians or management.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company assets in good condition.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Basic computer literacy (reporting and logging work).
• Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Technical qualification (Electrical / Engineering / similar) advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of metering systems and telecommunications (SIM cards, signal issues).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in the field and travel to various sites.
