About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Farm Worker with a specialization in Irrigation to join their team in Klerksdorp, North West . This role is vital for ensuring the efficient and effective management of water resources for crop cultivation. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and operation of irrigation systems, ensuring optimal water delivery to maximize crop yields.

The ideal candidate will have practical experience with various irrigation technologies and a strong understanding of water management principles, contributing to the farm's productivity and sustainability in this key agricultural region.

• Install, maintain, and repair various types of irrigation systems, including drip, sprinkler, and pivot systems.
• Monitor soil moisture levels and crop water requirements to optimize irrigation schedules.
• Operate and maintain irrigation pumps, valves, and controllers.
• Perform regular inspections of irrigation infrastructure to identify and address leaks or blockages.
• Ensure the efficient use of water resources, adhering to conservation practices and regulations.
• Assist with other general farm duties as required during non-irrigation peak periods.

• Proven experience as a farm worker with a focus on irrigation systems.
• Knowledge of different irrigation techniques and water management principles.
• Ability to operate and maintain irrigation equipment and tools.
• Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic understanding of plumbing and mechanical systems is advantageous.
