Maintenance Technician - Industrial

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal functioning of industrial machinery and equipment at their facility in Klerksdorp . This role is vital for minimizing downtime and maintaining the efficiency of our production lines. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and effectively.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a proactive approach to maintaining industrial assets.

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system failures.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during maintenance operations.

• Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and manuals.
• Experience with various types of industrial machinery.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Trade qualification or equivalent experience is highly desirable for this role in Klerksdorp .
