Trades ​/ Skilled Labor Technician, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

A Vacancy exists for a Technician
inthe Mining
Division based in
Harmony South – Welkom

The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Installation and fault finding of new alarms, electric fences and CCTV Systems;
• Maintenance of existing electronic security systems;
• Repairing of cables, focusing, cleaning and re - adjusting of cameras;
• Attending meetings when required to;
• Regular communications and development of a good relationship with clients;
• Attention to detail on all aspects of relevant responsibilities;
• Adhere to the Agreement between the client and the company;
• Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations;
• Management and Control of Documentation, Including Registers, Overtime and Route Sheets;
• Submission of fault reports on the system;
• Compiling of Job Card Quotes and obtaining required cost code for ordering;
• Available to be on standby when required and to work long hours if required;
• Ensure adherence to Company policy & procedures;

Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification;
• Driver’s license Code 8
• Relevant experience with IDS Alarms, Listener CRM Software, Hikvision CCTV Equipment, Nemtek Electric Fences;
• Basic Computer Troubleshooting skills
• Basic IT Networking Knowledge
• Bilingual (English and Afrikaans, other South African language advantages);
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Must reside in Welkom or surrounding areas;
• Own transport;
• No criminal record;
• Willing to work long hours / overtime and willing to travel extensively;
