About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Aviation Mechanic specializing in aircraft structures to join their maintenance team in Klerksdorp. This role is essential for maintaining the structural integrity and airworthiness of aircraft, involving the repair, modification, and inspection of airframes. You will work with a variety of aircraft types, ensuring all structural work meets stringent safety standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses excellent hands-on skills, and is committed to upholding the highest levels of safety in the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural repairs, modifications, and inspections on aircraft fuselages, wings, and control surfaces.
  • Interpret and apply technical data, blueprints, and repair schemes.
  • Fabricate, fit, and install structural components and hardware.
  • Document all work performed accurately in maintenance logs and records.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other maintenance personnel to resolve structural issues.
  • Operate specialized tools and equipment required for structural repairs.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Aviation Mechanic with a focus on structural repairs.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural repair manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Skilled in sheet metal work, composite repair, and general airframe structures.
  • Familiarity with relevant aviation regulations and standards.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a workshop environment.
