Aircraft Ground Equipment; GSE) Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician to join their busy operations in Klerksdorp . You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of all ground support equipment, including tugs, baggage carts, aircraft stairs, and de-icing units, ensuring their operational readiness and safety. This role is vital for the smooth functioning of airport operations, enabling efficient aircraft servicing.

The successful candidate will be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding high standards of equipment reliability and safety.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of GSE.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues with GSE using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and service schedules.
• Ensure all GSE operates safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
• Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and service calls to minimize downtime.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement as needed.

• Proven experience as a Technician specializing in heavy equipment, automotive, or ground support equipment maintenance.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and standard repair equipment.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to operate various types of GSE.
