Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Machinery Mechanic to join their manufacturing facility in Klerksdorp . You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide array of industrial machinery, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of production lines. This role is essential for minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity within the plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving mechanical issues within a demanding industrial environment in the North West province.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive maintenance on all industrial machinery according to established schedules.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical failures, including issues with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Install, align, and calibrate new machinery and equipment.
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance performed, parts used, and equipment status.
- Proven experience as an Industrial Machinery Mechanic or in a similar industrial maintenance role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including gears, bearings, motors, and power transmission.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems effectively.
- Understanding of safety procedures for working with heavy machinery.
- Must be physically fit and able to work in an industrial setting in Klerksdorp , including climbing and working in confined spaces.
