Aircraft Structures Mechanic

Our client is looking for a skilled and dedicated Aircraft Structures Mechanic to join their maintenance team in Klerksdorp. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the repair, modification, and maintenance of aircraft airframes and structural components. Ensuring the integrity and airworthiness of the aircraft structure is paramount. You will work closely with other maintenance personnel, adhering to strict safety protocols and engineering specifications to maintain the fleet's structural soundness.

This is a vital position contributing directly to the safety and operational readiness of aircraft in the Klerksdorp area.

• Inspect aircraft structures for damage, corrosion, and fatigue, performing necessary repairs and modifications.
• Remove, repair, and install structural components, including sheet metal, composite materials, and plastics.
• Fabricate and form replacement parts using various shop equipment and techniques.
• Read and interpret structural repair manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Ensure all structural work complies with approved data, airworthiness directives, and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of all structural repairs and modifications performed.

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Mechanic or Sheet Metal Worker in an aviation environment.
• Proficiency in working with various aircraft materials, including aluminum alloys, composites, and bonded structures.
• Ability to interpret structural repair manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and shop tools.
