About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Telecoms Installation Technician to join their team serving the Benoni community. In this role, you will be responsible for the physical installation and setup of telecommunications equipment for residential and business customers. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction by ensuring reliable service delivery from the outset. This position requires practical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in diverse customer environments across Gauteng, adhering strictly to safety and quality standards.

• Install, connect, and test telecommunications equipment such as modems, routers, and set-top boxes at customer premises.
• Run and manage cables neatly and safely, adhering to company installation guidelines.
• Troubleshoot basic installation-related issues to ensure seamless service activation.
• Educate customers on the use of their new equipment and basic service operation.
• Maintain accurate records of installations and any encountered issues.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures while on client sites.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical vocational training is an advantage.
• Previous experience in installing telecom equipment or related low-voltage systems.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools relevant to installations.
• Good understanding of basic networking principles and cable management.
• Strong customer service orientation and good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in the Benoni area.
