About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Avionics Technician to join their maintenance team in Vereeniging. This role focuses on the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of complex aircraft electronic systems, including navigation, communication, and autopilot systems. You will work with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and technical documentation to ensure the highest standards of avionics performance and reliability. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented technician with a passion for aviation technology to contribute to flight safety and operational integrity, working in a collaborative and technologically advanced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Install, test, and maintain aircraft avionics systems, including communication, navigation, and surveillance equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex avionics system malfunctions using specialized test equipment and diagnostic software.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on avionics components and wiring harnesses according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings to guide repair and installation processes.
- Document all work performed, including component replacements, test results, and system adjustments, in aircraft maintenance logs.
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Avionics Technician.
- Possession of a relevant South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) avionics license or equivalent certification.
- Strong understanding of electronic principles, digital systems, and avionics hardware.
- Proficiency with avionics test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation and wiring diagrams.
