Senior Electrical Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Technician to join their operational team in Vereeniging . This position involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems and equipment across various industrial settings. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of electrical infrastructure, working hands‑on with diverse machinery and control systems.

• Perform skilled installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of electrical equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults and breakdowns efficiently.
• Interpret and work from electrical schematics , blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Conduct preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure equipment longevity.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and operators.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement system upgrades and modifications.

• National Diploma or N6 certificate in Electrical Engineering (Technician).
• 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Technician in an industrial environment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, and PLCs.
• Experience with testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and a strong commitment to safety.
