Agricultural Equipment Technician

Our client is seeking a skilled Agricultural Equipment Technician to join their dynamic team in Benoni, Gauteng . In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of a wide range of agricultural machinery and equipment. Your expertise will ensure that all farm machinery operates efficiently and reliably, minimizing downtime and supporting optimal agricultural productivity. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, experience with agricultural vehicles, and a commitment to upholding high standards of equipment performance and safety for our client's operations.

• Perform routine maintenance and servicing on tractors, harvesters, planters, and other farm implements.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in agricultural equipment.
• Conduct diagnostic tests using specialized tools and equipment.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records for all machinery.
• Assist in the inspection and evaluation of new equipment.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards.

• Proven experience as an Equipment Technician , Mechanic, or similar role, with specific experience in agricultural machinery.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and power trains.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagnostic software.
• Proficiency in using various tools and diagnostic equipment.
• A relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical repair is advantageous.
