About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Farm Machinery Technician to join their team in Vereeniging . This critical role involves the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a wide range of agricultural equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. You will work with tractors, harvesters, planters, and other specialized machinery vital to farm operations in Gauteng . The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical aptitude and a deep understanding of agricultural machinery systems.

• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on tractors, combines, balers, and other farm equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues with machinery.
• Conduct pre-season inspections and prepare equipment for optimal field performance.
• Order and manage spare parts inventory to ensure timely repairs.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed during maintenance and repair operations.

• Proven experience as a Farm Machinery Technician or in a similar mechanical repair role, preferably with agricultural equipment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems common in farm machinery.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
• Experience with welding and fabrication is an advantage.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to operate various types of farm machinery.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
