About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Solar Panel Installation Technician to join their growing renewable energy team serving the Nelspruit area and surrounding regions. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a practical, hands‑on approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship. You will play a key role in helping clients transition to sustainable energy solutions.

- Install solar photovoltaic panels, mounting hardware, and electrical components according to design plans and electrical codes.
- Connect solar panels to inverters and ensure proper wiring of the entire system.
- Perform system testing and commissioning to verify performance and safety standards.
- Conduct site assessments and assist in system design considerations.
- Ensure all installations are compliant with national and local building and electrical regulations.
- Provide basic system operation guidance to clients upon completion of installation.
- Experience in solar panel installation or a related trade such as electrical or construction.
- Understanding of electrical principles, wiring, and safety practices.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools commonly used in installations.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy equipment.
- Valid driver's license and a reliable means of transport.
