Field Service Technician - Mechanical Systems

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and dependable Field Service Technician specializing in Mechanical Systems for their operations based in Nelspruit. This role requires you to travel to various client sites to install, maintain, and repair complex mechanical equipment. You will be the face of our client on-site, ensuring that all technical operations are carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety.

• Install, commission, and service mechanical systems and machinery at customer locations.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and calibration of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures, implementing effective repair solutions promptly.
• Provide technical guidance and training to clients on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Maintain detailed service reports, documenting all work performed, parts used, and observations.
• Adhere strictly to safety regulations and company procedures during all site operations.

• Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar mechanical repair role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, blueprints, and diagnostic equipment.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools for installation and repair.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
