Field Service Mechanical Engineer

Our client is seeking a hands-on and technically proficient Field Service Mechanical Engineer to provide on-site support and technical expertise for industrial equipment in the Nelspruit region and surrounding areas. This role demands a proactive approach to troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of complex mechanical systems. You will be the primary technical point of contact for clients, ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of their machinery.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical failures on various industrial machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and installations of mechanical equipment.
• Provide on-site technical support and training to customer maintenance personnel.
• Respond promptly to service calls and ensure timely resolution of equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports, and inventory of spare parts.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures.

• Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
• Proven experience in field service, maintenance, or repair of industrial mechanical equipment.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating equipment, and general mechanical systems.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory and occasionally beyond.
