About the Role
Our client, a prominent aviation maintenance facility located in Nelspruit , is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Aircraft Fuel Systems Mechanic . This specialized role involves the maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft fuel systems to ensure their integrity and safe operation. You will be responsible for the meticulous upkeep of fuel tanks, pumps, lines, and related components, adhering strictly to aviation regulations and company procedures.
This is a vital role in ensuring the airworthiness and operational reliability of the aircraft serviced by our client.
- Perform scheduled inspections and maintenance on aircraft fuel systems, including tanks, pumps, valves, and indicators.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults within fuel systems, utilizing specialized tools and test equipment.
- Repair or replace defective components within the fuel system, adhering to approved repair schemes.
- Conduct fuel system leak checks and integrity tests as per maintenance manuals.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance performed on fuel systems.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols when working with aircraft fuel systems.
- Trade qualification as an Aircraft Mechanic with specific experience in fuel systems, or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working on aircraft fuel systems.
- Proven ability to interpret fuel system schematics, technical manuals, and repair instructions.
- Experience with specialized tools and equipment for fuel system testing and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of aviation safety regulations pertaining to fuel systems.
