Mechanical Fitters

Our client is seeking qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitters to join their dynamic team in Vereeniging . This role involves the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment across various industrial applications. You will be working with a diverse range of machinery, ensuring operational efficiency and safety standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with a strong mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship within the industrial sector of Gauteng.

• Assemble, install, and service mechanical equipment and machinery according to specifications and blueprints.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant machinery, including pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and failures, identifying necessary repairs or replacements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance schedules.
• Operate various workshop tools and machinery, including lathes, milling machines, and welding equipment.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with company and industry standards.

• Qualified Mechanical Fitter with relevant trade papers (e.g., N2/N3 or equivalent).
• Proven experience in industrial mechanical maintenance and fitting.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to procedures.
