Senior Broadband Technician

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Broadband Technician to join their growing operations team in Benoni, Gauteng . This role is vital for the installation, maintenance, and repair of broadband network infrastructure, ensuring reliable internet and data services for customers. You will handle complex technical issues, guide junior technicians, and contribute to the overall quality and efficiency of network service delivery within the telecoms sector.

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair broadband services, including fiber optic and DSL connections, at customer premises.
• Perform network maintenance and upgrades, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of the broadband network.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical faults related to modems, routers, and in-home networking equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them with challenging installations and repairs.
• Ensure all work is completed according to company standards and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, equipment used, and resolutions in the company's ticketing system.

• Proven experience as a Broadband Technician or in a similar telecommunications installation and repair role.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, and common broadband technologies.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools for network testing and fault finding.
• Experience with fiber optic termination and testing is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and customer service skills.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed.
