About the Role
Our client, a dynamic aviation support company operating in Benoni , seeks a skilled Aircraft Electrical Technician . This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electrical and electronic systems on various aircraft types. You will work with power distribution, lighting, navigation, and communication systems, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability. This position offers a chance to work with cutting-edge technology in a hybrid environment, contributing to the safety and functionality of aircraft in Gauteng.
Key Responsibilities- Install, test, and repair aircraft electrical systems, including wiring, power units, generators, and avionics interfaces.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals, identifying root causes of system failures.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electrical components and systems according to maintenance schedules.
- Interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and technical publications.
- Ensure all work performed complies with aviation regulations and company quality standards.
- Document all maintenance actions, repairs, and test results accurately in the aircraft logbook and maintenance system.
- National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Avionics.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Aircraft Electrical Technician .
- Strong understanding of aircraft electrical power systems, AC/DC theory, and related components.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
