About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and skilled Alarm System Installer to join their expanding security solutions team in Benoni . This role is fundamental to providing clients with robust security systems. You will be responsible for the professional installation, setup, and testing of alarm systems, CCTV, and access control devices in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong technical and troubleshooting skills, and is committed to ensuring the safety and security of clients' premises, contributing positively to the company's reputation for reliability in Gauteng .
Key Responsibilities- Install and configure burglar alarms, CCTV cameras, and access control systems according to client specifications and system design.
- Run and terminate low-voltage wiring for security systems.
- Test all installed equipment to ensure proper functionality and integration.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning security systems and components.
- Provide basic training to clients on the operation and maintenance of their new security systems.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and inventory of parts used.
- Proven experience as an Alarm System Installer or in a related security installation field.
- Solid understanding of electronic security systems , including alarm panels, sensors, cameras, and access control hardware.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment for low-voltage systems.
- Ability to interpret system diagrams and installation manuals.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with clients in their homes or businesses within Benoni .
- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required for site visits.
