Maintenance Artisan – Electrician/Millwright

An established fruit packing facility is seeking a qualified Maintenance Artisan (Electrician or Millwright) to join its maintenance team. The facility operates sorting and conveying equipment used in the processing and packing of large volumes of citrus produce.

Location: Kirkwood, Eastern Cape
Position Type: Permanent | Monthly Paid

• Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on plant and equipment.

• Identify faults, troubleshoot issues and repair mechanical and electrical defects.

• Conduct routine plant inspections and maintain equipment.

• Carry out fabrication, assembly and installation of equipment.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.

• Maintain good housekeeping and plan maintenance tasks effectively.

• Obtain and maintain relevant work authorisations, including rigging and working at heights where required.

• Provide team leadership when required.

• Trade-tested Artisan:
  Electrician or Millwright.

• Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in the relevant trade.

• Strong mechanical background.

• Valid Code 08 driver’s licence.

• Own reliable transport.

• Willingness to work shifts and overtime.
