Senior Field Service Technician - Industrial Machinery

Our client, a leading provider of industrial automation solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Service Technician to join their dynamic team in Vereeniging, Gauteng

You will be instrumental in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex equipment, providing expert technical support, and building strong relationships with our customers. • Perform on-site diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and calibration of equipment to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
• Install, commission, and start-up new machinery installations, ensuring they meet all specified requirements and performance standards.
• Provide technical support and training to client personnel on machine operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with the engineering and sales departments to provide feedback on product performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate and detailed service reports, documenting all work performed, parts used, and recommendations.
• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company protocols while on client sites in Vereeniging and surrounding areas.
• Manage service inventory and tools effectively, ensuring readiness for dispatch.

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role, preferably within an industrial manufacturing or automation environment.
• Strong proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential for travel within Gauteng
