Our client, a leading telecommunications infrastructure provider, is looking for a skilled Telecommunications Installation Technician to join their team in Benoni, Gauteng . This role is essential for the deployment and maintenance of cutting-edge communication networks, including fiber optic cabling, broadband services, and related equipment for both residential and business clients. You will be responsible for installing, testing, and troubleshooting telecommunications systems, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance. This is a field-based position requiring travel within the Benoni area and surrounding regions. You will play a crucial role in expanding and maintaining the network infrastructure that powers our digital world, working with advanced tools and technologies.

• Install, terminate, and test various types of telecommunications cabling, including fiber optic and copper.
• Install and configure telecommunications equipment such as routers, modems, switches, and access points.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose network connectivity issues, identifying and resolving faults.
• Perform system upgrades and maintenance as required.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and service orders.
• Ensure all installations meet industry standards and company specifications.
• Provide basic customer support and education on installed systems.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and network documentation.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures during installation and maintenance activities.
• Manage tools and equipment efficiently for on-site operations.

• Previous experience in telecommunications installation or a related field.
• Proficiency in handling and terminating fiber optic and copper cabling.
• Understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, Ethernet, Wi-Fi).
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
