Appliance Installation and Repair Technician

Our client, a reputable provider of home appliance services, is looking for a skilled Appliance Installation and Repair Technician to serve the Klerksdorp community. This hands‑on role involves installing new appliances, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of domestic appliances, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for efficient and accurate service calls, ensuring all installations are performed to the highest standards and repairs are lasting.

The ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills across various appliance brands and types, excellent customer service abilities, and a methodical approach to problem‑solving. • Install new domestic appliances including washing machines, refrigerators, ovens, and dishwashers.
• Diagnose and repair common appliance malfunctions (e.g., electrical, mechanical, plumbing issues).
• Perform routine maintenance checks and tune‑ups on various appliances.
• Test installed and repaired appliances to ensure proper functionality and safety.
• Provide clear explanations to customers regarding repairs, maintenance, and usage.
• Maintain an organized van stock of parts and tools.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations during installations and repairs.
• Complete service reports accurately and submit them in a timely manner.
• Identify opportunities for upselling relevant services or products.
• Represent the company professionally and courteously at all times.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in installing and repairing domestic appliances.
• Proficiency with a variety of appliance brands and types (e.g., Samsung, LG, Bosch, Whirlpool).
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing principles relevant to appliances.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent problem‑solving and diagnostic skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule of service calls.
• Physical ability to lift heavy appliances and work in various home environments.
• Trade qualification in appliance repair or a related field is highly advantageous.
