Senior Telecoms Field Service Technician

Our client, a dynamic force in the telecommunications sector, is looking for a dedicated Senior Telecoms Field Service Technician to join their team in Klerksdorp, North West, ZA. • Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, modems, and customer premise equipment (CPE).

• Respond to service calls and ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
• Test and verify network connectivity and performance after installations or repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company standards during all field operations.

• Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers on the use of telecommunications services.
• Collaborate with internal teams to elevate and resolve complex technical problems.
• Work independently and manage time effectively to meet service level agreements (SLAs).

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Field Service Technician in the telecoms industry.
• Proven ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of telecommunications equipment.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, and Wi‑Fi.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule effectively in the Klerksdorp region.
• Valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel to various sites within the assigned territory.
• Technical certifications in networking or telecommunications are advantageous.
