Senior HVAC Installation Technician

Our client, a prominent provider of building services and climate control solutions, is looking for a Senior HVAC Installation Technician to join their expanding team in Vereeniging, Gauteng . This role is critical for ensuring the successful and professional installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across a variety of commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in interpreting blueprints, managing installation processes, and ensuring all work meets stringent quality and safety standards.

• Install, commission, and test heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems according to project specifications and technical drawings.
• Read and interpret architectural plans, mechanical blueprints, and HVAC system designs.
• Manage the installation process, ensuring timely and efficient completion of projects.
• Ensure all installations comply with building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Perform system start-up procedures, balancing, and performance checks post-installation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any installation-related issues that may arise.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including installation records and sign-off forms.
• Provide guidance and technical support to junior installation technicians.
• Uphold the highest standards of workmanship and customer service.

• Proven experience as an HVAC Installation Technician, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Trade qualification in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex HVAC plans and schematics.
• Proficiency with tools and equipment used in HVAC installation.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, ductwork, and electrical controls for HVAC systems.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the Vereeniging, Gauteng area as required.
