Overview

HOLIDAY PARK OPERATIVE. Marina Developments Ltd is the UKs leading Marina operator with several marinas within the UK situated at idyllic locations. We currently require two Holiday Park Operatives to join the Team working at Mercury Yacht Harbour and Holiday Park by the River Hamble on an 8th Month Fixed Term basis. These are full-time fixed term contract positions working 38 hours per week.

Both positions are on a 4 days on, 4 days off rotation working .

Mercury Holiday Park offers holiday home and marine lodge self-catering accommodation, as well as touring and camping pitches in a beautiful setting by the River Hamble. Our team strive to deliver the best customer service, ensuring our guests have an amazing holiday. We are looking for enthusiastic, customer focus people to join us for the 2026 season.

Responsibilities
  • Welcoming and booking in new arrivals, ensuring customers are greeted and assisted, delivering the highest levels of customer service and experience at all times.
  • Taking bookings over the telephone and via email and ensuring all telephone calls are answered in a timely manner.
  • Carrying out general administration functions to support park activities.
  • Maintaining site cleanliness and presentation, including cleaning toilet and shower facilities daily, site cleaning, grass cutting, strimming and weeding as necessary.
  • General DIY work and basic plumbing as required.
  • Ensuring daily, weekly and monthly caravan and site checks are carried out to keep the park safe and secure.
  • Carrying out duties in line with Company policies, with a focus on health & safety and customer service standards.
Key requirements
  • Enthusiastic and friendly with a flexible, positive can-do attitude.
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment (in a leisure/marina/hospitality industry is an advantage).
  • General maintenance skills (an advantage).
  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
  • Sound awareness of basic health and safety in the workplace.
  • Confident use of IT systems.
  • A practical, resourceful and common-sense approach.
  • Competent swimmer (essential).
  • Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent.

There is also full on-job training leading to industry-recognised qualifications.
