A well‑established and busy garage in Southampton is currently looking to recruit a skilled Car Mechanic to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced mechanic seeking a secure position with consistent work, competitive pay, and a supportive working environment.
The Role- Vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
- Diagnostics and mechanical repairs
- MOT‑related work (where qualified)
- Completing all work to a high standard and within agreed timescales
Monday to Friday: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
Saturday: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
This role operates on 5 days out of 7, with Sunday always off and one additional day off during the week (occasionally, the weekday off may fall on a Saturday; however, Saturdays should generally be considered a working day).
SalaryUp to £36,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Candidate Requirements- Proven experience as a car mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A reliable, professional, and positive attitude
