Plasterer

Location: Southampton

Hours: Standard working hours (full-time)

Contract: Temporary

Salary: £20 per hour

Van, Uniform & PPE provided

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for an experienced plasterer to carry out high-quality construction and property maintenance work across a range of sites. You will undertake plastering, minor repairs, tiling, painting, and other multi-trade tasks to ensure properties are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out plastering work, patching, Artex, rendering, and repairs.
  • Complete minor carpentry, tiling, painting, and flooring tasks as required.
  • Undertake small plumbing tasks or radiator drops where needed.
  • Interpret plans, drawings, and specifications accurately.
  • Plan work efficiently to minimise waste and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety and use PPE appropriately.
Requirements / Person Specification Essential
  • Recognised Level 3 plastering qualification or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years in domestic, commercial, or construction maintenance).
  • Multi-trade ability: capable of carrying out minor painting, tiling, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong practical understanding of construction/property maintenance.
  • Good hand skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow procedures.
  • Physically fit, able to work at heights and lift heavy materials safely.
  • Strong communication skills with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to use tools, IT, and mobile devices for reporting and updates.
Desirable
  • Experience working in a housing or maintenance environment.
  • Mentoring or training experience for apprentices or trainees.
