Plasterer
Location: Southampton
Hours: Standard working hours (full-time)
Contract: Temporary
Salary: £20 per hour
Van, Uniform & PPE provided
Purpose of the RoleWe are looking for an experienced plasterer to carry out high-quality construction and property maintenance work across a range of sites. You will undertake plastering, minor repairs, tiling, painting, and other multi-trade tasks to ensure properties are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out plastering work, patching, Artex, rendering, and repairs.
- Complete minor carpentry, tiling, painting, and flooring tasks as required.
- Undertake small plumbing tasks or radiator drops where needed.
- Interpret plans, drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Plan work efficiently to minimise waste and meet deadlines.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety and use PPE appropriately.
- Recognised Level 3 plastering qualification or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years in domestic, commercial, or construction maintenance).
- Multi-trade ability: capable of carrying out minor painting, tiling, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong practical understanding of construction/property maintenance.
- Good hand skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow procedures.
- Physically fit, able to work at heights and lift heavy materials safely.
- Strong communication skills with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to use tools, IT, and mobile devices for reporting and updates.
- Experience working in a housing or maintenance environment.
- Mentoring or training experience for apprentices or trainees.
- Takes responsibility for own development and performance.
- Works collaboratively and listens to others.
- Actively seeks opportunities for process improvement.
- Provides excellent customer service.
- Flexible, tactful, and professional when working in occupied properties.
