Overview

HGV & Trailer Mechanic / Technician –

Location:

Southampton. Rate: £18+ per hour (DOE).

Hours:

Monday - Friday, 7am-4pm (40 hours per week). Overtime:
Paid at time and a half. Holiday: 20 days per year + pension. A well-established commercial vehicle workshop in Southampton is currently recruiting two experienced HGV Mechanics / Fitters to join their busy and professional team.

• Safety inspections and routine servicing
• MOT preparation
• Brake testing
• Welding and fabrication
• General mechanical repairs and fault finding

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter
• Experience with rigid and articulated vehicles and trailers
• HGV Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
• Clean UK driving licence
• Flexible and reliable approach to work

• HGV Class 1 licence
• Driver CPC

• Minimum £18 per hour, depending on experience
• Overtime available at time and a half
• Full-time, permanent position
• Monday to Friday working hours only
• 20 days annual leave plus workplace pension
