HGV & Trailer Mechanic / Technician
Location:
Southampton
Rate: £18+ per hour (DOE)
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 7am-4pm (40 hours per week)
Overtime:
Paid at time and a half
Holiday: 20 days per year + pension
The RoleThis is a workshop-based position working primarily on HGVs, with occasional LCV work.
Responsibilities- Safety inspections and routine servicing
- MOT preparation
- Brake testing
- Welding and fabrication
- General mechanical repairs and fault finding
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter
- Experience with rigid and articulated vehicles and trailers
- HGV Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
- Clean UK driving licence
- Flexible and reliable approach to work
- HGV Class 1 licence
- Driver CPC
- Minimum £18 per hour, depending on experience
- Overtime available at time and a half
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday working hours only
- 20 days annual leave plus workplace pension
