Commercial Bodyshop Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Bodyshop Technician to join a busy and well-established commercial vehicle repair operation based in West Sussex. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality repairs, restoration, and refurbishment work on a range of commercial and light commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

This role would suit a motivated technician with strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Carry out body repairs on commercial and light commercial vehicles. Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods. Remove, repair, and replace damaged panels and body components. Undertake panel beating, metal finishing, alignment, and structural repairs. Carry out welding and fabrication work where required. Prepare vehicles and components for painting. Ensure all repairs are completed in line with manufacturer standards and company procedures.

Conduct quality control checks to ensure a high standard of workmanship. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Liaise with colleagues and management regarding repair progress and additional work requirements. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and workshop procedures. Requirements Essential Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Bodyshop Technician, Panel Beater, Commercial Vehicle Body Repair Technician, or similar role.

Experience working on commercial and light commercial vehicles. Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques and industry best practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work. Full UK Driving Licence. Desirable Relevant vehicle repair, panel beating, welding, or bodyshop qualifications.

Experience with in a commercial vehicle repair environment. ATA accreditation or equivalent industry certification. Benefits Competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 DOE.
