On behalf of our client, an automotive bodyshop repair specialist we are currently recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their experienced team in Swanmore. This position is responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex vehicle faults, supporting fleet reliability, and maintaining high workshop standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on fleet vehicles in accordance with manufacturer and company standards.
* Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults efficiently and effectively.
* Complete vehicle inspections and identify defects requiring repair or further investigation.
* Perform component replacements, adjustments, and repairs as required.
* Support vehicle uptime by ensuring maintenance activities are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
* Assist with fault finding and diagnostics across a range of vehicle systems.
* Maintain accurate service, repair, and inspection records.
* Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety requirements and workshop procedures.
* Support the wider workshop team in maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and vehicle reliability.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician, or similar role.
* Experience working on Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) is essential; PSV experience is desirable.
* Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
* Good understanding of vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair procedures.
* Experience with in fleet maintenance, commercial vehicle, dealership, or independent workshop environments would be advantageous.
* Relevant automotive qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) preferred.
* Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a busy workshop environment.
* Full UK driving licence required
