Looking for a hands-on engineering role where your electrical and mechanical skills will keep vital machinery and heavy lifting equipment maintained?

Join within an experience engineering team within a busy intermodal transportation hub, working on a variety of machinery and heavy lift equipment.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will maintain, service, fault-find and repair predominantly Liebherr lifting machinery & cranes. You will combine practical engineering expertise with disciplined safety and record-keeping standards, helping to keep machinery & equipment reliable, compliant and available for operation within this busy transportation hub.

• Annual earnings of around £55,000
  against your basic shifts plus additional overtime often available allowing a total earnings of £60k +pa

• Maintain, service, inspect, fault-find and repair heavy lift equipment
• Complete electrical and mechanical maintenance activities safely and to the required technical standard
• Follow engineering procedures, health and safety requirements and local safety policies
• Keep accurate and comprehensive maintenance, defect and repair records in line with company and legislative requirements
• Respond to reactive maintenance requirements quickly and professionally to ensure minimal disruption to operations
• Maintain high housekeeping standards to keep the yard & terminal clean, organised and safe
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in a safety-critical, 24/7 maintenance environment
• A relevant Level 3 engineering qualification
• Apprentice-trained or time-served engineering experience
• Practical experience in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance
• A strong commitment to safe working practices
• The ability to fault-find methodically and complete repairs to a high standard
• Clear communication skills and a reliable, team-focused approach
• Flexibility to work across a 24/7 shift roster
