Installation Technician, Building Maintenance, Construction Labor & Trades, General Labor
You’ll fit wall-mounted split and multi-split air conditioning systems in customers’ homes. The office takes care of planning and booking, so you’ll work to a proper diary instead of being pulled around the country.
You’ll also survey some of your own upcoming jobs a few weeks before they’re due. By install day you’ve already seen the property, so you’re never caught out by a bad survey from someone else.
Working for yourself at the moment? This role replaces quoting and invoice‑chasing with a regular salary, planned work and paid holiday.
Who we’re looking for- Strong experience installing domestic air conditioning systems (split and multi-split)
- Comfortable carrying out your own site surveys
- Clean, courteous and professional when working in people’s homes
This is purely domestic work. There’s no VRV, no VRF, no chillers or plant rooms, and no nationwide travel. If you want a lot of commercial variety, or prefer reporting to a depot every morning, this isn’t the role for you. If you’d value well-planned local work and evenings at home, it is.
What’s on offer- £45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience
- Permanent and directly employed
- Company van and installation kit provided
- 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Paid overtime, plus weekend work if you want it
- Travel paid after the first 15 minutes each way
- A set patch around Southampton with no overnight stays
Local work, a company van and home every night. Forget the motorway miles, the hotel rooms and the nationwide rota.
We’re recruiting a permanent Domestic Air Conditioning Installer on behalf of an established AC and building services company that’s been in the trade for over 30 years. This role is based on a fixed patch in and around Southampton, and you’ll be fully kitted out from your first day.
