Position Type: Full-Time
Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cost Control Specialist to support project operations and cost management activities across multiple job sites. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate project records, labor tracking, cost reporting, and administrative documentation to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment, and willing to travel as project needs require.
Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are strongly preferred.
- Maintain daily timekeeping records for field personnel.
- Verify employee timesheets and labor allocations for accuracy.
- Assist with project cost tracking and cost reporting activities.
- Process and organize billing documentation and supporting records.
- Verify and maintain per diem documentation and employee travel records.
- Track and maintain project-related documentation, logs, and reports.
- Assist with invoice processing and document control procedures.
- Support project management and cost control teams with administrative tasks.
- Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy project files.
- Coordinate communication between field personnel, project management, payroll, and accounting departments.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and project requirements.
- Perform additional site administration and cost control duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential employee and financial information.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Previous experience as a Site Clerk, Cost Control Specialist, Project Administrator, Payroll Clerk, or similar role.
- Experience in construction, industrial, turnaround, maintenance, or project-based environments.
- Experience with timekeeping systems, payroll support, billing, or cost reporting.
- Knowledge of project controls and cost management processes.
