Job Title:
Automotive Inventory Specialist (Experienced)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Automotive Inventory Specialist to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring vehicle readiness, and supporting overall dealership operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform vehicle check-ins for all incoming inventory, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections upon arrival, noting and reporting any damage or discrepancies
- Maintain the overall appearance and organization of the dealership lot, ensuring vehicles are clean, properly parked, and merchandised
- Safely move and position vehicles on the lot as needed to support sales, service, and operational flow
- Ensure all vehicles have proper window stickers and “As-Is” labels applied in compliance with dealership and legal standards
- Take high-quality photos of all vehicles for online listings, ensuring consistency and accuracy for website presentation
- Accurately book out vehicles in inventory systems, including correct options, pricing, and specifications
- Collaborate with sales and management teams to ensure inventory is retail-ready at all times
- Previous experience in automotive inventory management or a similar role required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Familiarity with dealership inventory systems and merchandising standards is a plus
- Basic knowledge of vehicle features and trim levels
- Experience with automotive photography or digital merchandising
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
This position requires frequent movement of vehicles and working outdoors on the dealership lot. Candidates should be comfortable with physical activity and changing weather conditions.
