We are hiring for EHS Specialists in the Southaven, MS area for a large energy client. During each shift, the individual will conduct spot checks on high‑risk operations, verify certifications and required documentation, perform safety audits, and ensure compliance with approved procedures. The role oversees Lockout/Tagout activities, confirming energy isolation and stopping work when standards are not met. Daily tasks include enforcing company safety standards, coaching crews, addressing unsafe conditions immediately, documenting findings, communicating with day and night crews, and ensuring safe, compliant operations at all times across shifts and operational environments consistently company wide.
These individuals will work a rotational schedule of 14 on (days/nights), 14 days of R&R, and then 14 days on (nights/days). Any hours worked over 40 are paid at time-and-a-half.
Must Have Requirements:- OSHA 30 Certification
- 3-5 years' experience in EHS/Safety specifically in a construction environment, preferably working on data center projects or gas turbines
- HSD/GED with 6+ years of experience;
If they have 3-5 years of experience, a degree is highly preferred - Great communication skills, tough skin and comfortable taking feedback
- Candidates will be eligible to collect per diem (standard GSA rate is $194/day) while they are on rotation.
- Candidates can also expense mileage at government rate (72.5 cents/mile)
- For R&R, they would leave on their last workday and come back to site on their first workday, so they would get a full 14 days of R&R.
