Transportation Engineering Technician I
Location:
18 - FORREST COUNTY, MS
Salary: $29,542.25 - $32,274.09 annually
Department:
Mississippi Department of Transportation
Position Classification:
Full‑time, First‑level vocational (Permits Division)
- Provide technical support for construction, maintenance, and traffic management projects.
- Inspect bore inspections along and under state highways.
- Conduct final inspections of completed permit work and notification of encroachments within the state right of way.
- Perform other transportation functions as required, including occasional overtime work.
- High School Diploma or high‑school equivalency.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well with others.
- Commitment to a positive and collaborative team environment.
