Lead Phlebotomist

Job Summary

Provides support to the operation of the Laboratory by assisting with pre‑analytical and post‑analytical processes resulting in optimal patient outcomes. Executes effective and efficient Laboratory operations. Responsible for assigned shifts and subject to overtime and call back as required. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection as required.
• Assesses and maintains quality of specimens.
• Communicates with patients and customers.
• Assesses specimens.
• Trains staff and performs urine drug screen collections and industrial screening as required.
• Executes effective and efficient Laboratory operations.
• Supports life long learning.
• Completes assigned goals.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy skills.

• Hospital Phlebotomy experience.
