About this PositionAs Human Resources Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and programme teams. You’ll align HR strategy with operational objectives, ensuring the business has the talent, structure, and culture required to perform at its best.
Operating within an Aerospace & Defence setting, you’ll support a highly regulated environment, ensuring compliance with government contracting requirements while driving initiatives that strengthen engagement, leadership capability, and workforce planning.
This role offers both strategic influence and hands‑on involvement across the full HR lifecycle.
Job ResponsibilitiesStrategic Business Partnership
- Partner with business leaders to support operational priorities and long‑term growth plans
- Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and organisational design initiatives
- Advise leaders on change management, culture, and people strategy
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, and performance concerns
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment legislation (including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEO requirements)
- Support adherence to government contracting regulations, ITAR requirements, security clearance obligations, and export‑controlled environments
Talent & Performance Management
- Support recruitment and onboarding strategies, particularly for technical and cleared roles
- Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development planning
- Identify high‑potential talent and partner with leaders to build succession pipelines
Leadership Development & Coaching
- Coach managers on leadership effectiveness, communication, and people management best practice
- Facilitate leadership development programmes and organisational initiatives
- Support employee engagement and retention strategies
Compensation & Workforce Programmes
- Partner on salary planning, promotions, job levelling, and pay equity reviews
- Support merit, bonus, and incentive planning cycles
- Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and workforce programmes
HR Operations & Projects
- Maintain accurate HR documentation in line with audit and compliance requirements
- Support internal audits, government reviews, and HR metrics reporting
- Lead or contribute to cross‑functional HR initiatives and continuous improvement projects
We are looking for a commercially minded HR professional who combines strategic insight with strong operational execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Development, or related field
- 7+ years’ progressive HR experience, including experience as an HR Business Partner or equivalent
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR best practice
- Proven experience supporting leaders within manufacturing, engineering, or technical environments
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
- Experience with in Aerospace & Defence, government contracting, or similarly regulated industries
- SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, PHR, SPHR, or equivalent HR certification
- Strategic thinking and strong business acumen
