AS A MATERIAL HANDLER, YOU WILL:

  • Load and/or unload trucks
  • Put away incoming freight
  • Replenish orders as necessary to support operation
  • Supply cardboard boxes and bags for departments
  • Transport finished goods to be shipped
  • Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain a clean work environment
  • Maintain safe actions on and off equipment in compliance with all safety rules/regulations required by Emerson, federal, state, and local provisions
  • Meet department quality, attendance, and productivity requirements
  • Assist and train new hires
  • Other duties as assigned
For this Role, You Will Need:
  • Must be willing to work frequently on and off lift equipment
  • Must be able to read shipping Bills of Lading and identify any errors
  • Must have general knowledge of shipping class codes
  • Must be knowledgeable in shipping standards and regulations
  • Must be able to recognize cross‑system issues when processing shipments
  • Must be able to problem‑solve
  • Must be able to use system software to determine when and how to best process a shipment
  • Must be willing to lift and move heavy material
  • Ability to use the Hand (RF) scanner effectively and efficiently
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • JDE knowledge
  • High school diploma or GED
