Material Handler - LTL Dock - 2nd shift

AS A MATERIAL HANDLER, YOU WILL:
- Load and/or unload trucks
- Put away incoming freight
- Replenish orders as necessary to support operation
- Supply cardboard boxes and bags for departments
- Transport finished goods to be shipped
- Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain a clean work environment
- Maintain safe actions on and off equipment in compliance with all safety rules/regulations required by Emerson, federal, state, and local provisions
- Meet department quality, attendance, and productivity requirements
- Assist and train new hires
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be willing to work frequently on and off lift equipment
- Must be able to read shipping Bills of Lading and identify any errors
- Must have general knowledge of shipping class codes
- Must be knowledgeable in shipping standards and regulations
- Must be able to recognize cross‑system issues when processing shipments
- Must be able to problem‑solve
- Must be able to use system software to determine when and how to best process a shipment
- Must be willing to lift and move heavy material
- Ability to use the Hand (RF) scanner effectively and efficiently
- JDE knowledge
- High school diploma or GED
