Position: Direct Sales Agent Specialist (1477)

Job Description

The Direct Sales Agent Specialist is responsible for profitable growth and attainment of business goals by driving new business sales, building rapport and trust with customers, and managing a book of business within a retail location. The role includes attracting and generating new customers, cross‑selling existing customers, and promoting Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance products through walk‑in sales, marketing calls, and in‑person community visits.

Responsibilities
  • Drive sales and build a book of business.
  • Attract and generate new customers and cross‑sell existing customers.
  • Sell to walk‑in customers and market products outside the office via calls and in‑person visits.
  • Maintain a community presence to build sales pipeline.
  • Initiate outbound calling to established target customer base.
  • Monitor key competitors and suggest improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes.
  • Deliver results within metrics such as quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial performance, while ensuring compliance with company rules and procedures.
  • Stay current on underwriting guidelines and company policies.
  • Receive customer payments, issue receipts, and verify cash drawer reports.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 0–2 years of experience.
  • P&C licensing (preferred) or willingness to attain required licensure within 90 days of joining.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
  • Successfully close sales of insurance and ancillary products.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals through new product sales and cross‑sell/retention.
  • Leverage community contacts to build multiple centers of influence.
  • Develop a sales pipeline with an active physical presence.
  • Use outbound calling to target customer base.
  • Monitor competitors and recommend initiatives.
  • Work with leadership to implement marketing and sales processes.
  • Deliver optimum results across metrics while complying with rules and procedures.
  • Understand and promote underwriting guidelines and policy changes.

Compensation

Base compensation: $20.00 per hour. Total compensation may include incentive pay such as commissions and bonuses based on individual and team performance.
