OnCall Substitute Teacher Parttime

St. Mark's School seeks candidates for the position of On-Call Substitute Teacher (Part-time). Though long-term coverage needs may arise, the usual commitment is for full or partial days, one or two days at a time. This is an hourly, part-time position reporting to the Dean of Faculty and the current pay rate is $25/hour.

Specific duties, skills and competencies include:

• following a teacher's lesson plan in the event of a planned absence
• overseeing classroom activity, providing support and assistance for students, and ensuring a positive and respectful learning environment
• demonstrating strong enthusiasm for working with adolescent students in many contexts
• outstanding task and time management skills with high attention to detail
• strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills
• success working with culturally diverse populations, as well as a commitment to building inclusive communities
• proficiency with computer applications such as Google Suite including Docs, Slides, and Sheets
