General DescriptionThe tutor administers screening and diagnostic assessments, and with the support of the reading specialist, analyzes the data to develop data‑driven literacy intervention instructional plans. Under the supervision of the reading specialist, the tutor provides literacy intervention to small groups of students and monitors student progress.
Qualifications- Holds an appropriate DESE educator license
- Ability to handle a multitude of varying and complex issues
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to use technology effectively
Job Duties (Not Limited To)
- Participates in the administration, scoring, and analysis of universal screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring assessments
- Participates in team data meetings
- In collaboration with the reading specialist, develops data‑driven intervention plans and focused instruction
- Delivers intervention instruction to students in small groups and occasionally as 1:1
- In collaboration with the reading specialist, shares student progress data with classroom teachers
- Regular and on‑time attendance is required for support of students
- Other duties as needed
